Scientific and Pedagogical Potential of the "Information Systems" Department

An annual student and master's research competition among universities of the Republic of Kazakhstan was organized by the Faculty of Information Technologies and Engineering (FITE).
Students from the "Information Systems" department submitted their projects for the first stage of the student and master's research competition.
Based on the results of the first round, the committee recommended the following research projects for participation in the second round of the Republican Student Research Competition 2024:
Professional development of the teaching staff was carried out both independently and through scientific and technical seminars.
A significant increase in the number of articles indexed in Scopus and journals recommended by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education has been observed.
There is also an increase in publications indexed in Scopus/Clarivate Analytics and the number of conference papers.
The department actively promotes the implementation of information technologies in education, including the development and integration of textbooks and teaching aids.
It is planned to further increase the number of publications in journals indexed in Scopus, Clarivate Analytics, and those recommended by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
Students of the bachelor's program "6B06101 – Information Systems" were awarded diplomas and certificates based on their results at the Republican Subject Olympiad among universities.
